It actually took me to see a few photos of the old hoist to make me realise how far I’d come. It’s actually a little unbelievable how little I could do for myself.
How pathetic this makes me feel now I don’t think I’d realised how little I could do. Basically zero. How lucky are we though that this sort of equipment has been made? Imagine years ago what would I and many others have had to do? Just lay in a undignified, unpleasant, useless way? Be thankful.
