I was having a lovely chat with my uncle tonight and he told me how much he liked my flower paintings. He had already asked for poppies for his neighbour and said he really liked the flowers I did for his neighbour and I’d done exactly what he’d wanted. ‘I’d really hit the nail on the head!’ And I just laughed at that expression. How inappropriate talking about things getting hit on the head?
