I never would have thought about/known about what a tracheotomy was or what it looked like except for getting an unintentional scar from one. Now I’m stuck with one which is horrible and ugly but at the same time I’m grateful for it when I needed help to breathe. Isn’t it just amazing what equipment we have made? Without these things many people wouldn’t have made it. But we have them so we should be so grateful.
