Trying to keep this skinny cow skinny!

I’ve probably mentioned before how people believe your weight can have an impact on recovery. When I hit my head hard initially I weighed 7 stone 11 pounds and fair play to the Royal Victoria Hospital – my family told them I had watched my weight and though I was peg fed they tried to keep the intake around what my body was used to and when I left RVH I was around 7.11/12. A wee small person like me, who back then didn’t have much mobility was basically stuck either in bed or in a wheelchair didn’t need 3 course meals twice a day. That’s what I was given in hospital and who really can say no to a nice dessert set down in front of them?

So I was getting ‘chubby’ basically very fat. The maximum I reached was a whopping 9 stone 2 pounds. WOAH it’s crazy to even type that. So ever since returning home I’ve been on a diet. The main reason is it should help the walking cause my body isn’t really built to carry the extra weight – not vanity! (Well maybe a wee bit!!)

So to cut a long story short mum is trying to be kind and she got special lollipops to help you watch your calorie intake cause they’re under 100 calories per lolly! They are lovely and they are (hopefully it will be accurate for me soon) called Skinny Cow!

I rarely used to eat sweets/chocolate. That is something I believe now you only live once so eat the chocolate/ buy the dress/ tell them they’re lovely etc.
