This was something I really struggled to get my head round, the acceptance of a power chair/scooter. I felt like me ‘giving in’ when I was trying to learn walking and seeming like I had given up trying to learn to walk. Im definitely not giving up on walking but James and me spoke, I may as well use tools up make this journey enjoyable! But tonight was the first time since the crash I seriously felt comfortable in nature again. Able to direct myself was so glorious, I did not realise how much people take it for granted. Just being able to direct yourself daily. I loved joining James and Alfie on their evening stroll.
